HESI

The HESI Exam (Health Education Systems, Inc.) is widely used in U.S. nursing education. There are two main types: HESI A2 (Admission Assessment), required by many nursing schools to evaluate applicants’ skills in reading, math, vocabulary, and sciences; and the HESI Exit Exam, taken before graduation to predict success on the NCLEX licensing exam. The HESI is computer-based, multiple-choice, and designed to measure readiness. While it is not a license exam itself, many schools use it as a requirement for admission, progression, or graduation.
